Rules For Marathon Relay Teams

ALL TEAM MEMBERS MUST COMPLETE A REGISTRATION FORM. ALL COMPLETED FORMS MUST BE MAILED AS A PACKAGE (SAME ENVELOPE) WITH TOTAL TEAM PAYMENT.

IMPORTANT SECURITY NOTICE
Each runner must pick up their own race packet and bib number and present picture identification prior to the race. Under NO circumstances will these items be given to a family member, friend, team member or anyone other than the race participant.
NO exceptions will be made.

Relay teams will consist of four members, with each team member running a specific leg of the marathon. The team's total elapsed time will determine the winners. In the event of a tie, the time of the first runner will determine the overall winner.

If a Relay Team has less than 4 members on race day, one or more runners must run consecutive legs. For example, a runner is allowed to run legs 1 & 2, 2 & 3, 3 & 4, 1 & 2 & 3, or 2 & 3 & 4. Relay runners are NOT allowed to run non-consecutive relay legs. A runner is NOT allowed to run legs 1 & 3, 1 & 4, or 2 & 4. Any relay teams with members who run non-consecutive relay legs will be disqualified from the competition. Relay runners are NOT allowed to run a leg of the relay and then continue on to run the full marathon. Runners must choose to either run a relay OR the marathon, NOT BOTH.

Relay team members will sign up for a specific leg on race day. Relay team members will be transported to their respective exchange zones by bus from the start line and returned at the completion of their relay leg.
