Each year, the Robins Pacers Running Club
sponsors a 5K/10K Road Race as a memorial
to the late Jim Herrin, past president of
the Robins Pacers. The proceeds of this
race are split evenly to fund two annual
one-time scholarships for a senior boy and a girl
graduating from a high school in Houston County. Winners are selected based on academic achievements and track and cross country participation. Elizabeth Lambert of Northside High School and Karl Burkhardt of Warner Robins High School were the 2010 winners of Jim Herrin Memorial Scholarships. Both students were presented a $1,500 check from the Robins Pacers Running Club of Warner Robins.
